NSI Guarding Gold, which incorporates three standards: BS7499 (Security Operations), BS7858 (Screening of Security Personnel),  and ISO9001 (Quality Management) is our industry’s highest award for security Guarding of your premises. We also possess BS8507 for Close Protection and BS8406 (Events stewarding and crowd safety). Audited twice a year by the National Security Inspectorate, we conform to the very highest standards of staff and management competence.

We are proud to be accredited to NSI Systems Silver, covering the full range of design, installation and maintenance of Alarm, CCTV and Access Control measures. This accreditation incorporates several standards and codes of practice for the Electronic Security Industry; BS 7499:2007, SSQS101 Pr EN50131-1: 2004, PD6662: 2004, DD CLC/TS 50131-7:2003, DD 243:2004, NCP104, NACP30. Rigorously audited twice a year by the National Security Inspectorate, we conform to the very highest standards of system design in addition to accredited and recognised staff and management competence.

We are very proud to have been principal members since 2003 of the British Security Industry Association, the country’s most respected and professional body to represent security managers. BSIA members are at the forefront of the development of standards for private security in the UK, which have risen considerably over recent years. Our Managing Director is chairman of the BSIA’s Close Protection Group and working with the British Standard for Close Protection, BS8507.

As one of the first members of the Approved Contractor Scheme we are, and have been for some 5 years, among the highest accredited security providers in the eyes of the industry’s regulators, the Security Industry Authority. Legal Note: Octaga Security Services currently holds SIA Approved Contractor Scheme (ACS) status for the provision of security guarding services. 

The prestigious Safe Contractor award acknowledges our commitment to Health and Safety and the welfare of staff. Awarded after a rigorous inspection of arrangements and procedure, we are proud to possess this logo, recognised by significant contractors and local authorities Nationwide.

Our Hereford Headquarters is an approved BTEC and Edexcel training centre where courses on offer include the BTEC III Advanced Surveillance, Door Supervision, Security Guarding and Close Protection programs. All Octaga training instructors are appropriately qualified with current field experience.
