Company History

In April 2001, Pilgrims Global Ltd was founded by our Managing Director who had served with the 1st Battalion the Parachute Regiment and then onto UK Special Forces. Having served in various hostile environments, Counter Terrorism, Close Protection and Surveillance roles, he and others with similar past backgrounds including Intelligence and Police, began to personally advise, assist, and carry out varied  security roles within the civilian sector, from assisting Police Special Branch, Heads of Security of Large Corporations and Private High net worth individuals.

From the outset, our ethics were simple, to provide a flexible, tailored and quality driven service from Industry experts. Exceeding our clients’ expectations was to be fundamental to our success. This ethos continues to stand us in good stead against our competitors.

2003 Saw us being accepted as members to the BSIA 

During 2004, we changed our name and re-branded as Octaga; based on, ‘Octagon’ representing strength in it’s shape and eight sides that also represent the eight services we provide – Risk Consultancy, Asset Protection, Technical Services (CCTV –Intruder Alarm – Access & Perimeter Control System) Venue Security, Close Protection / RST’s, Surveillance, Training and Industry Profiling.

Later that year we were accredited with NSI Guarding Gold, incorporating ISO 9001, BS 7858 &  BS 7499.

In 2005 we were awarded the SIA ACS Status and to date we are also accredited in NSI Systems Silver, Safe Contractor and BTEC Edexcel Training.

 Today, Octaga is one of the most up to date security and risk management companies in the UK, holding NSI Status in Physical Security and Technical Systems, the Industry’s highest Awards.
