In April 2001, Pilgrims Global Ltd was founded then rebranded to Octaga in 2004 by our Founder & CEO David Allison. After a distinguished career serving with the Elite 1st Battalion the Parachute Regiment and then with UK Special Forces 22 SAS.
Having served in various hostile environments, Counter Terrorism, Close Protection and Surveillance roles, he and others with similar authentic specialist backgrounds, began to personally advise, assist, and carry out varied security roles within the civilian sectors. Gaining contracts and the trust from assisting Heads of Security in large corporations, Film, Pharmaceutical, Banking and Private High net worth / Family Offices, we became the service provider that became the first choice.
A manifold of security solutions formed from a passion
In 2003, Pilgrims Global earned recognition as an accepted member of the British Security Industry Association and the following year, the company re-branded as Octaga Security Services Ltd.
Based on the Greek word ‘Oktagonon’, meaning ‘eight angles’, Octaga symbolizes strength in its shape with the eight sides representing the eight key security services we provide – Risk Consultancy, Asset Protection, Technical Security Services, Close Protection/RST’s (Residential security teams), Surveillance, TSCM (Technical security counter measures) Training and Industry Profiling.
To date, Octaga is one of the leading security and risk management companies in the UK, holding NSI Status in both Physical Security and Technical Systems; the Industry’s highest Award. We are also accredited in NSI Systems Gold, Safe Contractor and a BTEC Edexcel Approved National Training Centre for SIA Security Training courses.
